NIU NQi GT — Integrated Marketing Campaign

Objective

The goal was to introduce NIU’s NQi GT electric scooter to the North American market and build awareness among urban consumers looking for a smarter, more flexible way to move through the city.
The campaign needed to create an emotional connection with two key audiences: younger tech-forward riders and older professionals who value convenience, maneuverability, and easier city parking.

Solution

I developed an integrated campaign built around movement, confidence, and urban freedom. The headline system — “Ride it. Live it. Love it!” and “Conquer the City” — positioned the scooter as more than transportation: a lifestyle-driven way to move through dense city environments.
The visual direction used bold typography, high-contrast compositions, energetic human movement, selective colour, and city imagery to create a campaign that could extend across outdoor posters, experiential activation, social media, promotional giveaways, and digital banner ads.

The campaign idea was built around the feeling of moving through the city with confidence. Instead of presenting the scooter only as transportation, the campaign connects riding with movement, personality, and urban independence.
The visual direction combines strong typography, selective colour, urban backgrounds, and energetic human movement. The scooter remains the product hero, while the jumping figures and vertical colour blocks create a sense of motion, attitude, and urban energy.
The first campaign touchpoint introduced the scooter through outdoor posters. Large typography, city skyline imagery, bold colour accents, and dynamic human movement were used to create immediate visibility in urban environments.
The campaign was extended into an experiential activation where people could interact with the scooter, take branded photos, and share the campaign through the hashtag #ConquerTheCity. This created a more social and participatory layer beyond traditional advertising.
Social media assets and promotional giveaways were designed to extend the campaign beyond the event space. These touchpoints helped keep the campaign visible, shareable, and connected to the audience after the initial interaction.
The campaign was adapted into multiple digital banner formats while keeping the same headline system, product focus, colour direction, and call-to-action. Each format was adjusted for different screen sizes while maintaining campaign consistency.
